Parking is easy on site.  Plenty of parking west of our building on the grass parking lot.

A restriction that we will use for this event is no one under age 5 will be sailing.

Be prepared:

• Wear a bathing suit
• Wear sunscreen
• If wearing sunglasses be sure to have a lanyard or strap
• If wearing a hat we recommend a lanyard
• Closed-toe footwear with a heel strap that can get wet should be worn
• Hydration is very important.  Bringing a water bottle or planning hydration as a group before sailing is recommended.

The children can be grouped by any system you request.  By age, by family, by friends, any way you wish.  It is good to plan that grouping ahead of arrival.

Children will be given a sailing theory instruction (very basic) whiteboard lesson. 

• Wind direction and wind speed
• Life Jackets, how to wear & fit, & what they do for us
• Steering the boat
• Identifying a No-go-zone
• Identifying parts of the boat

Go sailing- children will have the opportunity to “trim” sails and steer the boat.

Wind conditions permitting we might play some sailing games.
